Instructions for Reviewers

Reviewers are essential to the assessment of submitted manuscripts, collaborating with the Editorial Board Members throughout the peer review process. All peer reviewers must adhere to the following ethical guidelines for WJMI journal articles under review:

- Reviewers should provide impartial feedback on each manuscript, regardless of the author's race, religion, nationality, sex, seniority, or institutional affiliation. The evaluation must be based solely on the manuscript's merits.

- Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest prior to commencing the peer review. This includes any relationships with the author that may compromise their objectivity.

- Reviewers are expected to follow the journal's ethical policies and maintain the confidentiality of the peer review process. They must not disclose any details regarding the manuscript to individuals outside of this process.

- Reviewers should deliver a comprehensive, consistent, and evidence-based peer review report for the manuscript under consideration.

- Reviewers must refrain from making any disparaging remarks that could harm an individual's reputation.

- Reviewers should adhere to the provided deadlines for submitting their reports. Any anticipated delays in the peer review process should be communicated to the editor in advance.

- Reviewers should inform the journal editor of any significant similarities they identify between the manuscript in review and any previously published papers.

WJMI values the contributions of reviewers and acknowledges the time and expertise they invest in the peer review process. To recognize these efforts, we offer the following benefits:

- A certificate acknowledging your contributions and support.

- Individual membership benefits.

- Expedited processing of manuscripts.
